Our team is made up of young (and a little less young), experienced and multilingual staff. Many of us are foreigners in Chile, so we are able to empathize with the situation of our participants: we understand their needs as well as their worries. Our many years of experience and our strong customer service are part of our expert advice, which is reflected in the many satisfied customers.

Who is behind Chile Inside:
Marion Ruhland
Marion is German. She came to Chile in 2002 with the idea to stay for half a year. Today, she still is in Chile! On many travels she got to know the country really well, and decided to stay. In November 2003, she founded the agency Chile Inside and has since been very successful. In Germany, she worked for Deutsche Bank AG after completing her business and financial studies. In addition to founding Chile Inside, Marion oversaw the Latin American business of a major US financial services firm and got to know Latin America intensively. Her travel repertoire also includes many European countries, Australia and parts of Asia and Africa. From the financial sector, she retired in 2009 to take full responsibility for the growth of Chile Inside and the expansion of its programs. Marion is fluent in German, Spanish, English and knows some French.
Julia Federmann
Julia comes from the beautiful south of Germany. Already at school, she learned English as well as Spanish, so she had an interest in foreign cultures and languages very early. Later, she worked for several years as an account manager in an international corporation, where she had the first contacts with South America. Julia likes to travel and during a vacation in Chile she fall in love with the diversity of the country. Enthusiastic about this great country, she kept pulling back until she definitely settled in Chile in 2015. At Chile Inside, Julia is the team leader responsible for customer service and program coordination. Julia is fluent in German, English and Spanish.
Rahel Leibundgut
Rahel is Swiss and has been working at Chile Inside since the beginning of March 2015. Joining a volunteer project in an orphanage in Guatemala in 2002 brought her to Latin America for the first time. This mission was followed by a journey across Latin America including Argentina, where she stayed and worked in a hostel. She has traveled to most of the countries where our programs take place and has participated in several volunteer programs in Europe. After studying history and archeology at the University of Zurich, she decided to live in Chile, where she always had come back in the past. Rahel is fluent in German, Spanish, English and French.
Esperanza Fuster
Esperanza is a Chilean and since 2011 a loyal team member of Chile Inside. She was born in the south of the country and has lived in various Chilean cities. She came to Santiago to study engineering and graduated in February 2011. She loves to get in touch with people from all over the world, to learn about and learn from different cultures. Because of her always friendly and good-humored character, she is valued by colleagues, customers and partners alike. Esperanza is responsible for our program coordination. She speaks Spanish and some English.
Vera Neeten
Vera comes from the Lower Rhine in Germany and learned Spanish early at school. After completing a year abroad in Spain while studying communication science at RWTH Aachen, it quickly became clear that South America should be next. In 2005, for the first time, she came to Santiago de Chile to complete an internship ... and then, after finishing her studies, quickly packed her bags to live in Chile. In the meantime, she has founded a German-Chilean family here. Vera is a big outdoor fan and so just in the right place in Chile - there is hardly a national park between the Atacama Desert and Patagonia that she has not had under her hiking boots yet. After many years working in a local tour operator, Vera joined Chile Inside and handles our marketing. She speaks fluent German, Spanish, English and knows some French.
Melanie von Senger Loeper
Melanie is a "citizen of the world" and has a very international background. She is Swiss, but was born in Munich / Germany. After an eight-year stay in Paraguay, she came to Chile in 1985, where she completed her studies in economics. This was followed by a 6-year working stay in Switzerland, where she worked mostly in the catering industry. From 1996, she ran a small hotel on Lake Ranco, in the picturesque south of Chile, before moving to the capital Santiago de Chile a few years ago. Melanie is fluent in German, Spanish, English and French. She is very outgoing and enthusiastic. At Chile Inside, she supports the whole team as our wonderful assistant.
