Learn Spanish in Valparaíso

Our partner school is located on Plaza de Justicia in downtown Valparaíso. It is just a couple of minutes away from the busy harbor and the well-known Plaza Sotomayor which is the central point of Valparaíso. The school has more than 20 years of experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language. The school consists of a lovely office and three classrooms situated in an old inviting building . The atmosphere of the language school is very friendly and international due to the abundance of students who come from around the world. The majority of the students are between 20 and 30 years old.

Part-time volunteer work: For our Spanish students, we have created a new program that combines the Spanish course with volunteer work. The program consists of a Spanish Course (Group Course or Private Course) in the mornings and then volunteering two to four afternoons per week. This allows you to practice your newly acquired Spanish skills in real life situations and put your free time to use for a good cause helping where assistance is most needed.

The Lessons

All teachers are native Spanish speakers and have studied other foreign languages as well. Therefore they are able to understand the situation of the students and can put themselves into their position. All classes are well structured using the school´s own teaching material and different audio and visual materials.

Classes in Valparaíso take place year-round and can be started on any Monday. You arrange the duration of your course according to your availability.

The Course

The group course consists of 20 lessons per week (each 45 minutes). The intensive course consists of 20 group lessons (each 45 minutes) and 10 individual lessons per week (each 45 minutes). The classes take place in small groups with a maximum of five participants each. We also offer the possibility to take private classes, which are flexible to match your personal Spanish level.

Accommodation

The students will either stay in a single room with a host family or in a shared apartment. We try to locate your "Chilean home" as close to the school as possible in order to save you walking time. We will be pleased to also arrange you double bedrooms.

• A minimum of 10 private classes have to be booked. If more than 50 private classes are booked, each class will cost USD 21. If more than 90 private classes are booked, each class will cost USD 20.
• Each lesson lasts 45 minutes.
• Accommodation will either be a single room with a host family or in a shared apartment. Half board is only possible in host families.
• The airport pic-up will carry you to the bus terminal in Santiago. From there you will go on bus to Valparaíso.
